I am sitting here in my living room listening to the wind. It is blowing so strong my house is creaking. If it gets any stronger I'd better look for a pair of ruby slippers!

It is extremely windy here too! And we are supposed to possibly have snow. 30% chance here in the valley at 1100 feet! Only happens about every 20 years.

OMG, the wind!! The waves on the pond are unbelieveable, like monsters racing across the surface; the old cottage is taking such a buffeting I fear it will break apart; hard to even think over the sounds! Worst I've heard it here. And the temps are 63 degrees. But falling.

I am so sorry you are getting wind. I hate it when the wind blows.
The snow just keeps coming here.

livenlearn124 02-25-2011 10:51 AM

Very windy today in FL too.

lyndad 02-25-2011 11:51 AM

We are supposed to strong winds Sunday, weatherman said 50 to 60 mph (higher than the temperature) ugh

CraftyGardenMom 02-25-2011 11:55 AM

Yes we have 60 mph wind gusts here today! I only hope the power doesn't go out because of it.

jljack 02-25-2011 12:58 PM

We had strong winds in the Central Valley a few days ago (5 maybe?) and a series of short storms coming through. Through the mountains it was up to 70 mph winds!! We haven't hardly had rain, though, due to the shape of our valley, the wind blows the clouds all around us, but not really over us.

ann31039 02-26-2011 04:16 PM

fratcat 02-26-2011 08:47 PM

the weather was beautiful here in Louisiana today., I believe it was in the mid 70s. Mardi Gras time, parades and out door fun. Shorts weather for the most part.

Very cute. Made me laugh. Hope you do not have to look for those slippers!

donnalynett 02-26-2011 10:43 PM

We have wind just about every day year around. 60mph is just a little more than a breeze for us. This week we had severe low temps and with the wind it was miserable. Was 21 when we got up this morning and that is so rare for the Oregon coast.

katesnanna 02-27-2011 12:12 AM

I hadn't really realized how dreadful weather can be in some parts of the world until I've heard people discussing it on this forum and then I received a couple of emails with photos. I live in Queensland, Australia and although we have had floods and a cyclone or two recently, the weather here is not bad. A different matter in the southern states. Still we don't get snow and sleet like you do in Europe and America. Australia is referred to as the lucky country and Queensland has the best weather. Guess we are spoiled.
