The snowstorms (#8!) have created a lot of time to sew, but I need to switch off to some other things. With so many new friends here, I'm starting to make my Easter eggs, for gifts. You might want to try these. We start blowing out eggshells whenever we cook. I decoupage them with pretty paper napkin cut outs, and Mod Podge. Last year I had a crafting party. Everyone loves these.

I should have asked: what do you do with them after the season. Are they stored for next year? If so, how?

There is a legend... all the evils in the world are contained in a big monster. It is trapped and chained up. Every egg you make adds a new link to the chain. I make enough eggs to protect the Upper West Side in NYC, but we obviously have to strengthen the chain every year! I'm dedicated mine to Egypt this year! (retired teacher, you know...)

Wow.

I store them in an egg carton. The ModPodge makes them very strong. I started these when my oldest was7, she's 33 now! Have taught hundreds how to do this. Martha Stewart has this on her site, same idea.

Those are awesome. I love the egg tree. Sounds like a fun group project. Thanks for sharing.
