Bride doll from a kit

2 Attachment(s)
A friend sent me a bride and groom kit to embroider and sew. I just finished the bride last night and thought you might enjoy seeing it. LOTS OF DETAIL.

She and the groom are of a preprinted muslim and stand 18 inches hight when finished.

larger version of bride doll

it was suggested that I send the larger picture of the doll to better view the details. I am trying to do so and hope I am successful. I enjoyed making her. She did take a great deal of time to complete.

Thanks for the replies.

The words at bottom say

Great doll; can't wait to see the groom!

wordpaintervs 01-10-2013 04:27 PM

Hope he is easier to do then the Bride was. YIKES

Will post when I get him done. It will take time. Likely won't even start for a couple weeks. Want to get more of the dolls for sick kids done first.

Hugs to all and thanks for the reply. Glad you liked the bride doll.

Very pretty. It really has a vintage look to it.

bearisgray 01-11-2013 08:07 AM

The doll turned out very nicely.

Looks like you added a lot more to it than was on the original pattern.

wordpaintervs 01-11-2013 11:40 AM

thanks for the replys. May have accidently added something or done satin stitch where an outline was called for. I got confused on parts of it.

I just love having the kit, but it was more difficult then I anticipated. It will be interesting to see how the groom comes out.

Went to the Stitchery.com site but saw nothing else like these. These kits are vintage collectables I would think.
