I love all the hats that the British wear they are so beautiful and the little fascinators as the call them are so cute I have always loved hats but don't look good in them but they have always worn them and they are just lovely.

I absolutely agree, I wish hats were popular here, one of my church members wear hats and she looks stunning. A friend who goes to church conferences the hat is the thing to wear. I think it is a wonderful industry.
In the UK the young look stunning in their hats.

I know. I think they look so cute. Nobody in my neck of the woods wears hats, except baseball caps, lol!

We wear them around here for one special day - DERBY DAY!

I agree with all of you!! Have you ever noticed that in old movies almost everyone at some point in the movie is wearing a hat?? Even in old clips of baseball games, tons of hats!!
Hats off to HATS!! lol :D:D

I love the British hats. I would wear them more often, but I can't find any that will go over my hair. I have long (tail-bone-ish) hair that I wear in a bun.

Oh my, i can't stand the hats I've seen. I always feel they pick the wrong designer. i'm hoping Catherine will pick better ones in the future.

I remember when Princess Diana wore all those lovely hats and some not-so-lovely thrown in :D
But it's fun to look.
I'm glad Wills has more of her looks than Chuck's :D

I have always loved hats. Even as a child, when we went to town, I would beg my mom to go to the hat store. Sad to say, the hat store closed their doors many moons ago.

I have a picture book of 1800s clothes and hats. Because of the expense of film, most of them are of British upper classes. In it some of the pictures really and truly bring out and empathize the Simple Simon effect. And also unfortunately, that's the kind of look I see peering back at me in the mirror when I try on a hat.
The only one I look barely nice in is a 1920s one copied from a picture of my Mom's aunt. Auntie had enough smarts to not wear it in more than one picture, and I took her unspoken advice. Although I do keep on trying, I love hats and hope to one day find one that makes me look nicer than I do.
