Bunting

Been given a job by my friend who owns a shop, to make bunting. Have any of you any ideas for bunting not triangles to put out. October I'm doing I think hexagons , October leaves but may swop. December Christmas tree or ?...January snowman but run out.

Hmmm, bunting as in little triangles or squares on a line of rope? If on a rope I would try for little triangles or squares in one background colour and button on the seasonal part. That way it would be easy to change out without taking the whole thing down.

I think bunting has a different primary definition in England and Canada. I think of it as something to wrap a baby, but you're apparently referring to decorative flags. We don't use that term much in the US.

Not true. Bunting is very trendy and popular these days, but I mostly just see the triangles.

Your correct..I'm Scottish and do not know what "bunting" means other than a garment to wrap a baby in:)

Learned something new today -

I thought "bunting" was that (usually inexpensive/cheap) fabric that was swagged for holidays or political conventions!

So - this seems to be 'flags and pennants attached to a cord or rope'????

Sorry ladies blame my friend who calls it bunting having lived in Portugal and Mexico for the last 15 years. Do you understand banners. It is a string with shapes on usually triangles. Hanging across a space.
