Busy morning.....
 

Began early this am with visit to orthropedic doctor for a cortisone shot for my arthritic left knee.
Next was visit to local Motor Vehicle to get a new photo driver's license. Read the brochure wrong and only brought 1 form of ID, my present driver's license. Thought it would be enough as I showed them everything needed when I got it 4 years ago. They accepted my Medicare card for my Social Security card whick fell apart years ago. Did have to convince them that it has the same number as my social security card. They also asked for an ATM card and were surprised that I didn't have one. Offered to go back home for my passport but they relented and passed me through.

Spent the afternoon waiting for a call so we could choose new health insurance for next year. While all the debating and talk about health plans were going on all over the country my DH said not to worry we're covered by the group plan where he worked. Not so any longer. Call came around 4pm but I have to say after lots of questions from us the rep that called helped us choose a plan we think would work best for us.

That's quite a day you day. The DMV always is a trial and you wonder how people who don't have legal status manage to get licensed but they do. Anyway glad you got yours with minimal stress. I have 4 more years before I need to do that again.

The DMV here is always packed with more little, tired, hungry, restless kids than adults. You stand in line so they can figure out what you need and then go stand in that line till your number is called and then they group call for photos so you stand in line again! Plan on it being an all day affair. I am glad you accomplished everything and the rep was extremly helpful.

DMV not too bad here, I always make sure I have what they need.
