I know this is an odd question for this board, but i was thinking about some new gift ideas for Christmas. I have given every kind of sewed gift to friends. My thought was making homemade candles but have no experience with it. Do any of you know of a super easy recipe for making jar candles? I was thinking red, green and white for the Holidays.

Try Michael's if you have one near you. I just melt the wax, added a fragrance, put a wick in the container and poured the wax in.

We've made candles before but it's now become so much cheaper to buy nice candles on sale...esp on Black Friday...you can get 3 or 4 huge jar candles for for $10 on that day...esp at Walgreens drug store...we add ribbons and raffia and sometimes a floral pic...they usually have a huge variety of scents.
