I shared a picture of this quilt when I first finished the top, but now it is quilted and cat approved. Hot Rod seems to think it is his quilt. Go figure!

Quilt is wonderful and the adorable inspector seems to concur!!!

AngeliaNR 10-17-2013 05:30 AM

Yay! It's Hot Rod and all his little purple friends! Great quilt. :)

Rose Marie 10-17-2013 05:50 AM

Any thing on the floor is up for grabs, it has cats on it, it is his.

Kathy T. 10-17-2013 06:17 AM

Even with excellent vision, Hot Rod doesn't know he's not purple ...!

nativetexan 10-17-2013 08:25 AM

Well, you've done it now! it's his for sure. lovely quilt.

margee 10-17-2013 10:20 AM

Luv the quilt esp the colors. I have same pattern with different material-just haven't made it yet. If I didn't know better I would think HotDog is my cat Charlie, but he's sitting right next to me.

They go well together.

Beautiful quilt and cat. Why do they always have to lay on anything new on the floor?

sewnsewer2 10-17-2013 01:36 PM

Pretty quilt! Hot Rod looks like my Daisy.

erstan947 10-17-2013 06:34 PM

Purrrrrrrrect fit. Hot Rod has staked his claim!

Dina 10-17-2013 07:07 PM

How neat that Hot Rod has look alikes in Charlie and Daisey! I thought he was an original...well, not really, but he is big. He weights 16 pounds. Never thought I would have a fat cat, but I do. He is pretty active and doesn't eat a lot, he is just big (and fat...)

Wanabee Quiltin 10-18-2013 04:55 PM

I made the very same quilt out of scraps for a DDIL and within minutes of giving it to her, her cat jumped on it. I love yours.

caspharm 10-18-2013 05:48 PM

Glad it passed inspection! :)

callen 10-19-2013 06:37 AM

Super cute quilt & love the colours & Hot Rod, of course.

At least the white fur will match the lighter colors in the quilt...

Maybe we should choose our pets to match our rugs?

Or vice versa?

Nan C 10-19-2013 02:40 PM

I love the colors and your quilt inspector approves also!! Nice job happy quilting :)

lynnie 10-19-2013 07:16 PM

I think he needs a quilt. my Zoey got my 3/4" hexie when it was done, she looked great on it, and it didn't maything in my house

NatalieF 01-24-2016 05:07 AM

Any idea where I can find this pattern? It's adorable! I have a niece getting married this summer and her and her fiancee have 2 cats that they adore and they would love a quilt like this. I've tried searching with google, but I think I'm google impaired at the moment as I couldn't locate this pattern.

JustAbitCrazy 01-24-2016 05:29 AM

It's in Janet Kime's book "The Cat's Meow", and is called "Plaid Cats". There's also another version of it in there called "Susan's Cats".

toverly 01-24-2016 05:40 AM

Love the purple. Did you know if you put red yarn in a circle on the floor the cat will go sit in it? It's funny but it worked with mine. We call it cat butt approved when Cleo sits on my quilts.

ctyankee 01-24-2016 08:58 AM

That's a lovely quilt with purple kitties! So glad Hot Rod approves. My Arthur, a 25 pounder who is my avatar, has to give his stamp of approval on all my quilts. Looks like Hot Rod has claimed this one for his own.

Irene C. 01-24-2016 09:11 AM

Such pretty cats dressed in their lovely purple's, great job!

Thank you!

You're very welcome, Natalie. There are many awesome cat themed patterns in that book, including the one on the cover with the cats sitting side by side with intertwined tails. Too sweet!
