I have 4 dogs, I'm horribly allergic to cats. 2 of the 4 were rescues, the oldest of them was born at a no-kill shelter.
Terra is 8(lab mix),Annie is 4(westie),Choop is 3(poodle x)
and Molly is 5(golden retriever).

One dog....a Westie named Maggie. I love all animals, but unfortunately, am alergic to most.

One field bred Springer spaniel bitch and one something else from the Humane Society male at the moment. He looks like a Border Collie with a short haircut. Who knows. They are both sweet hearts but she clings and the adoptee visits the neighbors all of whom love him. I love them both. They are so good for me. I need to get my hiking boots on right now and take them out for our exercise. They couldn't care less that it's raining.

I've always had dogs as DH was an avid pheasant hunter so they've always been spaniels; some purebreds and some mixes. They've made wonderful family dogs too. Never had a cat but I must admit they are much less labor intensive and solve any rodent problem here in the woods. Trouble is the coyotes around here so they are at risk outdoors. I have had grand cats I've learned to like.

We have had three different cats through 44 years of marriage, and now have two daughters in law who are allergic, so we don't have any pets so they can come to visit.

I have 6 dogs.....and 1 cat that thinks he is a dog!
