My younger Corgi wraps her neck around my laptop when it is in my lap in order to lay her snout on the keyboard - effectively blocking most of the lefthand keys. "Just trying to help..." I had to put my scrapbook table/supplies away after I found the older Corgi (in my avatar) stuck with his rear legs on the back of the couch and front legs on the table and a good 10-12 inches of open air underneath him. Also a very helpful beast.

Remember DD has 6 cats in the house (yeah, I know) and three of them know I am Grandma and will not leave me alone. I now use a squirt bottle to shew them away. They see the bottle and run. However, DH's dog loves to sit at my feet and he gets a foot rub down. It comforts him and me. If my feet get chilly, stick em under the dog.

Most cats do that - they just love to sit (or lay) on whatever it is you're working on. I was trying to finish a quilt - doing the stippling. Let me tell you, it's hard when you have a 16 lb cat sitting on the quilt. For some reason, the quilt won't move much  I love these wonderful creatures. I guess if I want quilting time, I'll have to shut the door to my room, but I really hate doing that.

I have never poked any of the cats with pins, but I did trim some hair off a tail with the rotary cutter. He's lucky it was just hair! I guess I'm pretty lucky, too. That would have been one heck of a vet bill!
