i sometimes wonder about my cats.... they have water in two places in the house but....when i run bath water i have 1 who just has to sit on the tub side and drink warm bath water (while watching me lying inside) the next cat had to get into the act as well but he just stretches up leans over and drinks the warm water the 3rd just watch this activity from a distance ..haven't figured this quirk out yet lol ...thenthey are happy and lay down waiting for me to get out guess they think i need company or something....ahhhh such is the life of a cat in a human household...............

I think it's a ragdoll trait. I had one that would get in the shower. So funny.

no you have it all wrong they are trying to lower the water level so you dont drown --the third is trying tough love 'well if she is silly enough to keep getting into the water she will just have to learn the hard way--but ill stay close in case we have to save her'

LOL. My cat would probably due this if I took baths. She however feels the need to be in the bathroom at all times that I am in there. Then she wants to drink cold water out of the sink faucet. Life would be boring without my cats.

I haven't been to the bathroom by myself for so long I'm afraid that should I actually get to lock the door, my two guards would be traumatized at me being by myself!! No telling what might happen to me without them!! Fredrica, the white little lady Persian, would sit there staring at the door, willing someone to come and open it for her. Koko, the half Siamese, would try to grasp the door handle, then stick a toe under the door and try to pull it open, then hurl his body against it to try to force it open. By then I'm usually so amused or irritated that I'll open it for them and march out, to their disgust. The fact I have a jar of treats for them in there might have something to do with it too.

Yeah - what is it like to be alone in the bathroom? Teddi drinks from my sink and Isla comes running if you are on the commode for her "slap butt" treatment of her big "hams" LOL We give her both hands slapping (gently of course!) alternately on the flanks.
