Cats!!

They can be as fussy as we little old ladies (speaking personally, of course)! Tinkerbell has a bed in the living room that she usually sleeps and naps in. Last weekend she started sleeping on the bare floor behind the chair and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I feared she wasn't feeling well and a lot else! She didn't seem to want to spend as much time on the shelf on my desk (see my avatar) either. Well today I put a clean towel on it (to make it easier to keep clean) and she went back to the bed! I finally figured that maybe she didn't like the scent of my homemaker on the towel? Carlotta shakes it outside every week and puts it back on the bed. Either that or it just needed a clean one. Would she object to someone else's scent? I guess I'd better keep a better supply of clean towels!!

She's a sweetie! Cats are crazy!

She looks like my 15 yr old PeeWee. My husband built similar shelves in my sewing room windows (in the sunshine) for PeeWee and Smokey to nap in. What a coincidence!!.

Believe me, they can get plain picky. I have three and have a time figuring out what, where, when , why.

Funny mine loves my scent, she will lay on the jackets after we take them off

Mine's ok, it's the homemaker's I was wondering about.

That's an interesting thought. Perhaps your cat has a 'reservation' about your housekeeper for some reason and doesn't want to be around her, or her scent. Hmmmm.

Pretty girl!

Does she wear a lot of perfume? It may irritate your cat's nose. I know smelly perfume does mine!!!! My dogs like to sleep on our worn clothes.

I have lots of cat posts that have sections that are big enough to lay on. The favorite is the almost to the ceiling one with lots of laying areas. It is in front of the window so they love it.
But cats will have many areas they sleep in, especially the furniture, so I put small quilts on the seats for them to lay on.
