This is a real stretch...sorry for the pun... but does anyone know the appropriate size proportions for a ceiling medallion in relation to the chandelier that hangs from the center of it?

I bought a 16" (plastic) medallion at Lowe's and it just "seems" too small for the light fixture which is 27" across. Maybe it's me? and maybe I really need to see it up above my head! HAhaha but didnt' want to take it out of it's plastic wrap in case I need to return it.

Thanks in advance for any input on this "high" priority. HAhaha

that sounds about right- it seems like we used a 14" that i thought would be way too small- but once it was up it was about perfect- you don't want it to overtake--

Wowza! I think I will ask my butler when gets home.

Unless the base of your fixture is "huge" the 16" should look good. I do like the medallions a bit bigger than some folks.

Thank you ckcowl for the comment... you're right I do NOT want the medallion to overtake the light fixture. Perhaps it's just right!

Thank you Tonnie Loree. I would have asked my "help" but they have the day off.

Thank you Emerald46. Base is NOT huge. I see the balance now...

Although this has been hanging over my head, I've now been enlightened!

Is this board great or what?
