I needed a quilt for my bed and because my old dog sleeps on it all day and tends to "nest", I didn't want to put much time into it. So I went to my "floor" bin. (all the fabric that hit the floor over the past years..I sewed big patches and little patches some sort of strips. I evened the strips up and sewed them together. What was best was looking at all the scraps and remembering what I had used them for. Good luck..It will be beautiful.

By the way, the old dog still sleeps on it and puts holes in it. I just sew another patch over it.

I have saved scraps from every project I have made and I am cutting them into 2 1/2" squares and these will then be made into a postage stamp quilt. When I get out a pile to cut the squares, I too remember what I made and who got it. I'm hoping that this will be a lifelong memory quilt for me!!!
