If someone standing behind me in the grocery store has small children I love paying for their groceries. I remember the day when we were struggling due to short funds and trying to feed seven of us (5 children). Now that I can spare the extra cash I get a great satisfaction in helping someone else.

What a gracious and loving thing for you to do. I do something like that on a much smaller scale as I purchase for the guy behind me when I go through Starbucks or at lunch when I am going through the drive in. You are doing wonderful work and are a great example to all of us. Thank you for sharing this.

Such a kind, caring thing to do. Maybe some of the rest of us should use you as an example. Thank you for the reminder of how much I am blessed with and others are not.♥

You are AWESOME!

What a wonderful gesture of kindness. In this economy, I bet more than once a parent has sighed with relief and been very thankful for your generosity!

How wonderful! I will remember this the next time I'm in a store, maybe I'll be able to do the same!

MissSandra 10-04-2011 06:31 PM

its wonderful you can do that, we constantly help our children due to my sil injury, today the rent but finally some good news he recieved a disability check. when I bake I always share with those around us its nice to see the smiles on peoples faces when you hand them a plate of goodies or a loaf of fresh bread.

What a wonderful thing to do

I think of that when I'm at the pharmacy and I see an older person getting their meds. I know what mine cost and I know a lot of their's cost even more. Can barely afford mine though.

That is so very thoughtful of you. You never know, the people you pay for might have really needed that. Thanks

wanda lou 10-04-2011 11:58 PM

that is so kind of you.

It is wonderful what you do! My husband and I very rarely have any extra money...but we try and help others by offering them rides, baking and cleaning for the elderly people who live around us. We have become really good friends.

Thanl you all for all great comments they are all lovely. You see when my children were very young and we had no money I used to take them to the supermarket and actually steal the fruit to give them and I always said when the day comes I will send the supermaket a check and repay for all my doings. But unfortunetly they went out of business. Since my husband's death seven years ago I have been awarded his service connected disability and there fore I use it all on charity. Anyway anyhow and to whoever needs it gets it. I truly believe in giving back. I also have a son who has been out of work for over 2 years and I pay his mortgage so he does not lose his house. I pray everyday he should get a job and help support his family. One pray may help. GOD bless all.

How gracious of you. Not all can be as generous but there are ways each of us can pay forward. Just look for opportunities to give of your time/talents/finances. Late summer I try to find a parent or teacher purchasing school supplies and either pay for a few of them myself or give them a few dollars to help stretch their budget. (I rarely give anyone money outright. A sad lesson learned!)

Macie 10-05-2011 08:49 AM

You all should be congratulated each in your own ways are out to help others who are less fortunate. May we all continue to help. Thank you all so very much for all that you can do. Sometimes money alone does not do the trick volunteer, help someone cross the street, visit a home bound person, visit a nursing home etc. I also volunteer at the respite center and work with the alzheimer and dementia people. I do not feel that I help them but rather they help me. I love you all for everything you all can do.

QUILTNMO 10-05-2011 09:04 AM

god bless you for helping others
