We are thinking of moving to the Chattanooga or Knoxville area and wondering if anyone could give me some insight as to the pollen there ( I have terrible allergies) and the safer areas to live.
Thanks! |
I think it would depend on what you are allergic to.

grasses, trees, weeds, mold and of course dogs and cats.

Knoxville and Chattanooga are rated number 1 and 3 worst cities in the U.S. for allergies and Asthma.
Not that I wouldn't love a new quilty neighbor! Pollen is bad here because of the topography. With mountains surrounding the cities nothing gets blown away by the wind. I live on the Cumberland Plateau and what little pollen and particulate matter does get out, I swear, blows right past my house. |
We drove through on our way to Jacksonville, FL from the Chicago area. DH had a bad reaction to something in the air and we had to stop at a pharmacy for help from the pharmacist. The next state he was OK and he had the same reaction going home.
