cheap white outdoor chairs

Moved to AZ and I'm looking for the stackable white chairs that sell for $9.99, found them on line but the cost of shipping 20 of them was $569.00!!

0tis 05-27-2013 08:42 AM

Wow - can't you find them local - that is completely crazy to charge that much for shipping - it must be the size of the chairs. I hope you can find them near your new home.

dakotamaid 05-27-2013 08:53 AM

I think it is because they have to be trucked. I have run across this also. I buy local.

KalamaQuilts 05-27-2013 09:06 AM

every Target and Walmart have them, or better looking ones even. I like the ones they've come out with that look like wicker :)

romanojg 05-27-2013 09:50 AM

I've gotten all of mine locally. Some from Kmarts, some from Big Lots etc. I'm surprised you can't get them there. Maybe a store can order them in. I know that at Walmarts if you have something shipped to the store they don't charge you shipping. I had ordered a fireplace from Sears this yr and the shipping cost weren't that high.

Saw some displayed at Dollar General(Dollar Store? or one of those!) but did not price them.

QuiltnNan 05-27-2013 01:00 PM

go online for your big box store to find chairs you like. then order them to ship to store. it is usually free.

Wildernessties 05-27-2013 06:27 PM

Sometimes you can alsomfind them at Lowes or Home Depot although I'm not sure if they would be $9.99.

Hmmmm, if indeed they are not available anywhere in Tucson, could the desert winds be why they are hard to find????

shipping???????????

That's $28.45 per chair for shipping for a $10. chair. Something doesn't seem right somewhere !!!!!!!!!

omg I agree..........

pennycandy 05-28-2013 04:05 AM

I've seen them at small hardware stores also.

Jingle 05-28-2013 04:37 AM

I think I would go with whatever I could find locally. White won't stay white long.

carolynjo 05-28-2013 05:13 AM

I hate to say it, but don't buy at Big Lots; mine broke the first day; a leg snapped off.

tessagin 05-28-2013 05:35 AM

No way I'd pay that. I'm sure you can find in local stores. You only want 2? I'm sure Tucson has more than one WalMart or Target or KMart. Surely between those and even a couple garden centers you can wrangle 20. for the shipping cost you could travel to the next town and pick some up.

LenaBeena 05-28-2013 11:03 AM

We found plenty at Alco stores near the Grand Canyon. Some were $10, fancier one $12.

nanacc 05-28-2013 01:41 PM

Saw them at Wal-Mart today. Can't remember exact price......know it was under $10. I believe about $8.98.

Noiseynana 05-29-2013 05:02 AM

We have them here at Dollar General.

miriam 05-29-2013 05:15 AM

try finding some on CL

Wanabee Quiltin 05-29-2013 06:02 AM

I would try Dollar General, Walmart, Kmart whatever first. Good Luck.

BCM 05-29-2013 09:40 AM

Why not take a road trip and get some, I think it would be cheaper.

BellaBoo 05-29-2013 10:04 AM

Cheap plastic chairs are sitting out in stacks in front of every store in my area, even grocery stores have them for sale. I'm in the south so outside deck, porch, yard, lake, and pool chairs are a necessity. :)

patski 05-29-2013 06:45 PM

Thanks all, I finally found some on line from Lowes and they are delivering them for FREE! To my house. I was shocked but delighted. We have neighborhood get togethers and I really needed the chairs!

Rose Marie 05-30-2013 06:33 AM

Just saw them at Walmart yesterday.

JoanneS 07-21-2013 02:28 PM

I found them in Tucson. Check Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart. You're bound to find them.

cactusmomma 07-24-2013 04:20 AM

Have you tried Lowe's.
