Choosing a cordless iron -- help please

I have asked for a cordless iron for Christmas, even though DH suggested I was reverting from true feminism. But I assured him I would be very happy to receive one. He asked which one, but I don't know what to say.

I have reviewed previous threads on the subject, but I really need to hear from anyone who loves their cordless. I am looking for one that heats relatively quickly and, most importantly, holds its heat long enough to be useful. Any other features I should think about?

Thank you for any advice you can share.

For something like this I usually go to Amazon and sort the results by "average customer rating". I could find only three cordless irons on Amazon, and this was the one with the most favorable reviews (and also the highest price!):

I really love my Panasonic cordless, which Santa got me for Christmas last year. It does really nice work, stays hot just fine and has nice steam capabilities.

I also received the Panasonic last year for Christmas, liked it so much, I brought another one to have as a backup, I usually burn up a iron a year - but this one is still going strong.

I'm SURE you will love which ever one! I have had my Maytag cordless for several years I think at least 7or8 and love it. It's heavier which I like. Haven't check out other brands so only can give a thumbs up for the Maytag.

After asking for and getting opinions from QB members I got a Panasonic cordless iron and I'm very happy with it. Someone suggested I order it from Walmart and have it delivered because that was the best price and as I recall, it was. I knew Walmart had delivery to a local store but didn't know it extended to home delivery. All around a good purchase.

I have this one and I totally love it. So much so that I bought a second one at Lancaster last year. I got a better price on that one as they had used them in the classrooms and were selling them off at the end of the show.http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-NI-L...+cordless+iron
I don't think it gets as hot as a conventional iron but the trade off with no cord is worth it to me. I hate struggling with cords.

I love my panasonic cordless, especially like that is pointed on both ends, makes ironing a breeze, it also comes in a little carrying case if you need to take it to class or something

I love my Panasonic cordless. I found a much lower price at QVC.com
