Need help deciding? We are doing an exchange in a quilt group I belonng to. The rules are to use one yard of fabric only, can not decide between kitchen towels or apron. Any ideas are welcome.

All the same fabric or can you use scraps that add up to one yard?

Table runners or toppers are nice too!

Yes a table runner would be nice...or some hot pads...how about a casserole carrier? Or a pretty lap quilt would be nice too...crafty_linda_b

Mug rugs, table mats, pot holders

Does not have to one fabric. It has to equal one yard.

I can not think of a way to have enough aprons so that would be my vote.

A pillowcase? decorative pillow? place mats with coasters? a small bargello wall hanging? a crayon quilt wall hanging?

How about a sewing tote for travel. Have velcro straps for scissors, some strips of fabric for pins and needles, a pocket to hold papers such as directions or patterns or magazine, and enough room to hold small projects for hand piecing, maybe some elastic to hold a marking pencil, clear pockets for thimbles, band-aids, needle threader.

Another idea might be to piece some fabric together as for a quilt top then use to cover a photo album or scrap book for them to put pictures of their quilts in or to put their patterns or ideas of future quilts into.
