Now that my new walk in bathtub is in, I have been doing a lot of cleaning up. The bathroom is now done, made a huge dent in the stuff I had piled into my living room over the past couple of days, and am currently working on my entry room. The dust is horrible, it's everywhere lol. Some is from the construction with the new tub.
Once I get it all done hopefully no more sneezing fits.

And then you'll have to debut your new room to us!

Have you done a new "quilt" for the bathroom? quilted shower curtains? window curtains? Hope so!

Renos can drag you down, unless you "Keep your eyes on the prize"!!! Here's to a successful finish!

No quilt for the bathroom, my entry room or as I call it the tile room is almost done - has a tile floor. Taking a Hershey break lol.

Am trying to do the cleaning a little at a time so I don't overdo. It's a lot, but gives a golden opportunity to weed out the stuff I no longer use.

Cool the tub, is it one of the walk ins?

Yes, it has both water and air jets.

What a great tub. I need one as I can no longer get in and of my roman one. It is showers all the time and with my RA I need to soak. You are very lucky. Enjoy.

So glad to hear you can finally use it!

maryb119 10-22-2011 11:19 AM

Use white vinigar in the water you are using to clean with. It cuts drywall dust and makes it easier to clean. That what I did when we remodeled. Plain water turns it to paste and it is harder to clean up.

I didn't know that! Thanks!

LOVE you tub. I would like to have one for us so we could walk in. Both seniors here so I think it would be a lot safer.

sueisallaboutquilts 10-22-2011 02:02 PM

Your babies are so cute!!! I bet you'll be glad when the job is all finished- very nice!

I have only used it once, made a difference though. I can now get in and sit where before I could not in a regular tub due to knee and ankle problems.

They are cute, yet rotten lol, they love to tell me where to go - herding dogs. They love attention too.

Thanks, I told my mom, gee now that the one bathroom is a showpiece, I will use it more often to just stare at the tub lol.

Very nice tub. Getting harder for me to climb into our tub to take a shower, big step.

Thank you, I like being able to walk in and sit. I have a walk in shower, but not the same when I needed the jets that this tub has.

dakotamaid 10-23-2011 04:20 AM

I'm looking at one of those walk ins for our bath.

As for getting in and out of her tub I bought my Mom one of those bath chairs that straddle the tub edge. She sits down and swings one leg at a time into the tub sliding her rear as she goes. Than she can stand up to shower. Just reverses getting out.

Latrinka 10-23-2011 04:40 AM

Very nice!

Joset 10-23-2011 05:31 AM

It is a nice tub, easy to get in and out of. I have knee and ankle problems so it was a need more than a want. Before I got it, I was not able to sit in a regular tub, could not get out once I got sat down. When you don't have help avail to get out, that can be a real problem.

luvstoquilt 10-23-2011 08:02 AM

After you finish cleaning remember to change the filters on your heating and air systems so the dust will not continue to recirculate!

Sew and Sew 10-23-2011 09:23 AM

Well I do love your walk in tub. With my arthritis I find it difficult to get in and out of a tub.....so it is showers for me.....even suggested to husband a hot tub.....now that would feel so good.......all we would need is a two man......

BarbaraSue 10-23-2011 09:50 AM

I'm ready. When's the tub party? hehe

auniqueview 10-23-2011 12:34 PM

I have tub envy. I need one, just can't afford it now. So, sticking with the shower. Thank goodness I have a nice big walk in one. But oh, would I love to have that tub!

southernmema 10-23-2011 04:17 PM

Congratulations on your new tub!

I am so jealous. I'm glad you got one, but I haven't had a bath since I broke my neck in 1983. I can't get back out of my garden tub.

craftymatt2 10-23-2011 06:57 PM

Very nice, does it take long to fill up?? was just wondering because i heard from some people on this board that was its downfall. I like the way it looks and that you can step in and not have to worry about falling.

3 - 5 mins on fill under 2 on drain. You can put a small space heater in the room while you wait to turn on the jets.
Overall, it's NICE, and allows a sit down soak.

QuiltnNan 10-24-2011 02:40 AM

congrats on the new tub

DebsShelties 10-24-2011 02:44 AM
