Those photos to me say the "good old days" weren't always so good!

Thank you so much. You know I find it strange that we most likely grew up in different parts of the country. We raised by different people who grew up in a totally different time then we did, but we are united by looking at these pictures. I was born in 44 yet am drawn to these pictures to try and get a glimpse of what my parents were like, what I was like. Even tho the pictures came from different areas of the country there was such a common thread running through them. Now we who look at these pictures feel a tug at our hearts and kind of makes me want to know more about the person who looks at these pictures and feels that tug. Thank you. The fabrics that the little girls and womens clothes were made from I long for..

Maybe so but they were taken when America had morals and pride!!

So much of that which is shown is so far from politically correct nowadays. There would be so many lawyers and lawmakers involved that it would not be funny. Saying grace before dinner comes to mind for one......

I found the one of the people saying grace before a barbaque lunch at the (public county) fair esp. un-politically correct! :) You wouldn't see that happening as a group these days...maybe on a personal level, but wouldn't be allowed as a group! :(

And got a good laugh from the ones showing people wearing suits and dress clothes to the farm auction!

One thing I noticed, you really don't see any overweight people.
You see so many overweight children now. And it's nice to see pictures of kids that 'Look" like children not minnie Brittney Spears and gang bangers.

Lord isnt that the truth.....Someone find me a time machine and send me back to then please!!
