Come on Over!

Plenty of tea, chocolate, wine, other edible goodies and....fabric. Come on over and set a spell. Hubby left this a.m. on his way to KS for a week in search of bigger deer than he thinks are already in our own backyard. Probably like me going out of town in search of fabric when I have a LQS in town. Just the dog and I hanging out for the week. I'll miss him like crazy but it isn't as though I have nothing to do. Should have a second small quilt top pieced before I head to bed tonight. Then there's the 40 hour job to head back to tomorrow. So not looking forward to that and all the aggravation that will bring.

I remember when my hubby left town on trips. Ate left overs or ate in town before I got home, put on p.j.'s as soon as I got home. My TV or no TV, bubble baths, good book, kind of like going to a spa for a week. A lot like it is now that we're retired, except for the TV sharing. Hope you enjoy. Sometimes the quiet is priceless.

But just think after work, home to some nice jammies, eat what you want, when you want :) Watch what you want on TV - enjoy the mini vacation you have  LOL

I'll bring the aprons that I'm working on for Christmas...we can sew, snack & chat all day.

I used to love it when my hubby went elk hunting in Colorado....about a week to sew, read, watch what I wanted on TV. And cook what I wanted, or not....

My husband traveled a lot on business. The kids and I loved it! We ate hot dogs, watched tv, read, just generally hung out. Of course, we loved it when he was home, too!

Here's hoping your hubby gets all the Kansas deer he wants. We have so many and they make night time driving kinda nerve racking for me. And they ARE big! Enjoy your creative time!

Hope he brought lots of friends with him we have way to many deer in KC

There's three of them staying in the Little River vicinity. Our area of NY is the same story, so much deer damage to vehicles. We hit a deer a couple of years ago in July of all times and it was $7,800 worth of damage to my Honda CRV> At least it's not moose.

So how is the quilting party going ?

Deer are bad here in Indiana also - they open a few State parks every year to hunters to try and keep things in balance

How nice to have some alone time. Don't you feel sorry for people that can't figure out what to do for alone time?

So where is So. Plymouth? Love those days when we can eat cereal or bring home take out - sew at whatever hour! If there's chocolate I'm coming!

Just googled it, your not too far from me...you may find me running away from home! Lol

Enjoy your alone time. I like to have hubby go for a couple of days but am always glad when he comes home. Wouldn't want to be without him all the time.

I used to love it when hubby left to go hunting for a week, I could do whatever I wanted when I wanted..........then we moved to Alabama. So now when he goes hunting, I go back to Iowa with him and visit family. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my family. But I sure wish he would find a hunting or fishing pal down here, I need my alone time! I want my cake & to eat it too...........lol.

Absolutely! MY DIL has a hissy fit whenever her husband goes hunting for a week, also has a hissy fit when son has to travel for work. Of course, he does everything for her including laundry & cooking meals. She sleeps all day while the kids are at school.

Love venison. My students would bring me venison every year or so.

So far the quilting party of one is doing just fine. Finished piecing a lap quilt top on Sunday. Had to take a rest from all the stitchin' last night. Sore from the neck down to the finger tips. Too many hours bent over the sewing machine a/k/a "Sir Chugs-a-Lot". Thanks for checking up on me! Tonight is leftovers, a long hot shower and maybe some handquilting.
