I've got 2 ears of corn in my potato sack in the microwave right now. Yum!!!!! 5 minutes and DH, me and Tiger will be eating it covered with drippy butter. Tig doesn't use butter...he's messy enough as it is. My question is does anyone have an easy way to get the last of the little silks off before cooking? Well...off to the kitchen. Glenda

I always run the corn on the cob under water and take my hands and twist around the cob to get them off

I use a soft brush to de-silk the corn before washing.

I do not pull off the leaves instead I cut off the end (the part that is connected to the stalk) and pull the leaves and silk off at the same time and then its easier to de silk them as the silk comes off pretty much all at once.

I run it under cold water and have a very soft brush to get the silk off. I bought the brush at a kitchen shop.

Rub it wearing rubber kitchen gloves.

That makes me remember this we sat down to eat and father-in-law dropped his ear of corn first he went up the wall with it then he had it under the glass table top finaly made it to his plate then one of the girls leaned over and wispered to her dad I guess we won't be having corn on the cob again will we. DH had to go to the bath room about that time.
