You can get azo at the pharmacy to help with the pain, it is over the counter

AlkaSeltzer is suppose to help. Good luck :D

I was told to drink cranberry juice, grape juice, apple juice or (& I think tomatoe juice) & of course, lots of water.

I always use a product that takes away all of the pain and burning right away. It is AZO. It is over the counter and you should be able to get it at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS or possibly even at the grocery in the medication department. I must tell you though that it will turn your urine orange so don't be alarmed if you use it and see orange. I always keep some on hand. It does not cure the infection, just the burning and pain. I hope you get better soon. Do not take it if you are going to have a urine test because it may mask the results. Wait until after the test.

There's a product over the counter made by Azo that helps a great deal with the pain. It is usually in the feminine care isle. When is was available by prescription only it was called Pyridium.

Real homemade lemonade! Eat lots of yogurt to and yes by all means see a doctor.

if you're near a health food store that sells tinctures, get some Uva Ursi, take frequently, one dropperful in water.

And cranberry tablets. I think you can buy them in any drug store. Will help with discomfort also.

mshawii 04-19-2011 03:29 PM

go buy some cranberry juice, not the kind that has other fruits in it. 100% cranberry juice. Drink it as often as you can and lots of water as well. Works for me. Jan

Go to your pharmacist and see if he has Ural sachets or some equivalent. The will help ease the symptoms until tomorrow. If you start to get a fever or backache in your lower back then don't wait to see your doctor and go to the A&E department of your local hospital. They will be able to see in a sample straight away what type of bacteria it is and start you on some type of antibiotic. (ex microbiology technician for 17 years) Hope you start to feel better soon.
Cheers
