Craftsy Classes?
Have any of you creative folks ever taken one of the "paid" Craftsy Classes? I've watched a few of the free ones, but I'm considering paying for a bag making-techniques class.
As I understand Craftsy's fine-print, I can watch the video classes any time, any where, and my access to the ones I pay for will never expire. Have you had any experiences with this? |
I've wondered about them too..............calla
I have paid for a few, yes they never go away. I think they would only go away if the website dies. My classes always remember where I was in them. I have re-watched a few of them. They have updated the website a few times and some things have changed, but that is SOP now days. There are a few more I want to buy when I get the extra funds. I would wait until the sales happen on the one you want. I have found out if you find the link on the teachers website (if they have one) for the class you want, there may be a extra discount.

I really like their class set up; it is there when you have the time.

I have taken several Craftsy classes. The instructors are great and I can watch them over and over. I have even taken the more difficult ones and have been able to keep up.
yes, well worth the money
Well worth the money and if you don't like the class they will refund your money.
Great investment...you can refer back to any of the classes to refresh information. Well planned out - and I like the supply list. I have several of these classes on my list.
I have signed up for 54 of their classes , some free and some paid for. I have been very pleased with them.
Love the craftsy classes. I try to wait until they go on sale but I have several quilting classes.
I have been very pleased with the classes I have purchased. I also really like the format.
I love the Craftsy classes; they're well worth the money! They do offer a money-back guarantee, but I think it's within 30 days of purchase. These classes really make you feel like you're in the front row or a class and even watching right over the shoulder of the instructor at times. Jump in and try one!

I've taken several, re-watched them on occasion, and feel they were worth the money. I also signed up for a couple that weren't what I expected and got my money back, quickly with no questions asked. You can't really go wrong.
When I am considering a Craftsy class, I always check to see if the instructor has already covered the material in a book. For many techniques, I prefer having a book to a video, since I can quickly look through a book to find just the thing I want, and it's harder to find that in a video. But there are some things in quilting that are better shown in videos, so there's a trade-off. |
the classes are wonderful, you can watch them anytime and even ask the instructor questions. They have sales frequently, put the class you want in your wish list and wait until its on sale
Two thumbs up. Have been taking Craftsy classes for a few years now...sometimes I re-watch while having a glass of ice tea, I see or hear something that I had missed the first time around.. Great investment IMHO. :)

I have had problems with logging onto their website so I am a bit worried about having my CC on their site so I haven't watched any. There are just so many free u-tube videos to watch for free.
I have quite a few classes and love them. The customer service is excellent and I have gotten a refund on a class I was not happy with. I like that on the paid classes, the instructors monitor the boards and answer questions. I know some do on the free classes, but that is not usual. I do wait for a sale, because they always seem to come around. $19.99 seems to be my personal comfort level.
I have taken about 12 and loved them all except Elennor Burns. She is to fast and to crazy for me.
I have signed up for a few classes. The nice part is that the lesson is always there to watch at your convenience.
I have taken many of them and have to say I recommend them highly. I have
learned a lot and they are always there to watch over and over. |
I love my Craftsy classes. The instructors are knowledgeable and detailed. You can access your classes anytime, anywhere from the internet and keep them forever.

You save money and get better instruction buy taking the Craftsy classes. The only thing missing is the drive to the class, high fee, loading and unloading your supplies. Putting up with a class member that won't stop talking on her cell phone, and trying to remember everything you need to finish the project when you get home. LOL. I do enjoy the social of the physical workshops but I like Craftsy better. I lost count of the number of classes I bought from quilting to baking. I haven't returned one yet.

I have most of the quilting classes. Have learned something new from every one of them. I try to get them when they are on sale--usually $19.99 but once in awhile they are $14.99. There is a Craftsy blog that has lots of info and free patterns for various crafts on Friday.

I love the classes but can no longer watch them on my Kindle -- I hope they can come up with a solution soon for this problem.
