CraftyBear

Does anyone know what happened to "craftybear"? I realized I hadn't seen any post from her so looked in member list and her name is no longer there. Such a shame to loose such a prolific poster. She always headed us in such interesting directions.

Last post was one month ago (her name is still on the member list):

Last post I saw was 8-31-2012 from her. Craftybear I hope you're well.

auntpiggylpn 10-23-2012 03:03 PM

Looks like her last post was in September. She had taken a hiatus a while back because of personal issues. Perhaps she is "taking care of business"! We all enjoy her threads and posts and nobody can navigate google like she can. Hopefully she will let us know that she is well.

katesnanna 10-23-2012 04:33 PM

I've just sent her a PM letting her know we are thinking of her and wishing her well.

sew_itnow 10-24-2012 03:40 AM

Hope she is ok and back on here soon.

coopah 10-24-2012 04:59 AM

You're right! I looked for her everyday, went on vacation, and didn't think about that when I returned. Always looked for Crafty Bear and Ditter. Thanks CB and D if you're out there, we miss and love ya!

Carftybear was posting not long ago. Ditter posts funny things, I saw her posting not long ago. We have lost lots of people after the board changed. It was not that hard to learn this new board. I did it easily, so I know it couldn't be that hard.

I had not noticed CraftyBear missing so much since I do not often look at the section with links to various patterns, how-to's, etc. She is such a whiz at finding so many good resources that I think, after the reorganization, I just thought most of her posts went there. Hope everything is OK.

Why was her post in the link MTS posted removed?

The link was just to a list of her latest posts, via her valid member id profile (the op had said the id was no longer there).

Maybe it was a dynamic, rather than static, link.

I just did it again, got a new URL, which had a different searchid #, and tried opening up it in other browser windows - where it worked.
Maybe there's a time limit for the link it to stay active and relevant.

Anyway, it was only to show that the most recent post had been on 9/21.

(I don't think any moderators were involved. :p)

I agree - I always enjoy reading their posts too - Ditter has a wonderful sense of humor!

Rose_P 10-24-2012 06:08 PM

I hope Craftybear and Ditter are okay. What ever happened to Amma, who used to post thousands of times and then suddenly disappeared at the end of last year?

wordpaintervs 10-24-2012 10:30 PM

gosh I do hope all is well with Crafty. She has done so much to help others with her postings, etc. BE WELL CRAFTY BEAR

Hi Everyone,

I am here but haven't been online for over a month or so

A guy ran off the road and hit the front of our house, lots of damage to the stone, and been dealing with contractors as they have to rebuild our front wall of our house. I had to move everything out of that room so the contractors can work. The contractor started the work last week, such a big mess.

I have missed all of you.

Karen, Craftybear
