Credit card auto fill on-line orders
Yesterday ordered from a new to me quilt site suggested to be by an enabler who will remain anonymous.(lol) Had my credit card in hand, clicked on the type of card and OMG...there was my name, last four of card number and X date. Anyone know how I can stop this? Is it stored on my computer?

My computer uses Google to store passwords and credit info. It asks for the security code from back of card for verification.
|
Yes it is stored on your computer. I think you can disable that in your systems. I like this feature because I do a lot of online ordering. I always have to enter the expiration date any security code. So, if my device is stolen, the thief can’t order anything.

I have autofill enabled for forms but in never does CC numbers. Not sure if I set it up that way or what.
|
I use the auto fill for sites I trust. The setting is in your browser to change it, not your computer.

Iberna, TUSM for info. Told dh about it too. https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images...es/thumbup.png

It is in the browser settings and easy to take out depending on your browser. I have it enabled and it is great for trusted sites.
|
yes, your computer is storing it. Usually it will ask if you want to store that credit card info--I always say no thanks.
|
I don't save my CC info anywhere on the internet.

yep, hate that. even my Doctor's office site. Google once added names to my phone contact list that were from an old Excel list sent to me of Quilters from all over the world when i swapped through the mail. long ago. some of those people were no longer on this earth but how did that do that? made me wonder big time. so anything that touches google, stays with google.
