I just finished a cross stitch stocking. This has been a project in the works for quite some time. Because it's been folded for so long it's wrinkled. What can I do to it before I make it into a stocking? To help get the wrinkles and folds out?

Thanks.

Put a press cloth over it. Spray with Best Press and press slowly. It will be fine.

You can try Downey Fabric Relaxer. You can get it at Walmart, or Kmart. I have used it alot.

Spray starch and press it or maybe just spritz some
water on it and iron it.

I always hand wash mine in a sink with Woolite, Rinse well, roll up in a towel to get as much water as I can out of them, then press on the back side with hot iron.

Me too. I also lay the cross stitching face down on a dry towel, not a really thick one, before pressing from the back. By placing it on a towel, the stitches have a little more dimension. Move the iron frequently to avoid scorching. You won't need to use steam because the fabric is damp.
