The Crown

.Just yesterday, finished watching the CROWN, the Netflix series......interesting, to say the least. Anyone here watch it? Personally, I loved the downtown abbey building, not thrilled with buckingham palace look.....jmho

Never was a fan of Queen Victoria. So I haven't watched any of it. I wonder if the palace look is true to how it was or imagined?

Geri, we just finished the series (The Crown)....we loved it! I had to read up on the royal family after watching it and I think the series was fairly accurate on their portrayal. Life is strange, even for the royals...Elizabeth had no idea that she would ever be queen until the uncle gave up being king to "marry the woman I love." Charles and Anne were born before Elizabeth became queen but she has two more boys...I'm sure that will happen in season two....excellent series!

......oh, I know about Charles, don't we all, but not about other two boys...will have to research too.
Am watching Victoria too...and found another on PBS called secrets of the six wives..a bit of history about Henry VIIIs wives, from their side......

The Crown is about the early years of the current Queen Elizabeth.

I just finished watching The Crown last weekend and cannot wait till Season 2 is available. I thought it was wonderfully well done.
