I'm so sorry about you losing your gorgeous dog. We used to have a half Husky half Malamute with one brown eye and one blue eye, same color fur as yours. He was so special to us. We tried to teach him to roll over; tried for 4 years. He wouldn't roll over but every time you told him to roll over, he would look at you and say, "Ro over".

I am sorry to hear of your loss. How thoughtful of your pet caregiver to send you the photos.

MrsM 11-11-2010 05:18 AM

Oh I am so sorry. I hope your memories help mend your heart.

T-Bones mom 11-11-2010 05:57 AM

So sorry to hear about Dugan. I know how hard the loss of a pet can be. I no longer have my T-Bone who is in my avatar. They are part of our family.

So sorry that you lost him. We lost one of our Labs back in September. I still mess us now and then and call her daughter by her name.

Kyiav10 11-11-2010 12:02 PM

Thank you. Every day gets a little easier. I will miss him every day and can't wait to see him on the rainbow bridge when my time comes. We still have Kyia, the Golden in my avatar.

So sorry for those who have also lost a pet, they are part of our families.

What a treasure to have two great pics of you beloved friend. My heart goes out to you for the loss. He was a very hansome boy.

Ramona Byrd 11-11-2010 12:06 PM

Think of him running and playing and always watching the
Rainbow Bridge. That is one of the ways I can remember my
own many late fur kids even though it makes my eyes leak.

ljsunflower 11-11-2010 12:17 PM

Beautiful dog! I'm so sorry you lost him.

Yes we have to think of it that way. When my husband died, my oldest grandson was just 5 1/2. He asked me about heaven and why God took Pepop. I told him that God calls you up to Heaven when he needs a special job done. My grandson said, "Oh I know why he called Pepop up. He needed someone to walk all the dogs in Heaven." So now every time we hear of a dog passing, we say, "Another dog for Pepop to walk." It takes a little bit of the hurt away all the way around. So just remember my husband is walking your beautiful dog along with my Bandit the Husky/Malamute.

Thank you for that touching story! I will definately think of it that way. I sure hope Dugan isn't pulling Pepop by chasing all the bunnies and squirrels!

I know the pain you are feeling. Been there. Our dogs become like a member of the family and when they are gone, the pain comes.

Roberta 11-12-2010 06:20 AM

My sympathy on your loss as well. It never gets easier to let one go.

OmaForFour 11-12-2010 06:23 AM

I am so very sorry that you have lost Dugan. However, he is not really gone. He is just over the Rainbow Bridge and waiting til you join him when God says you can be with him again.
