I haven't seen the original of this although I once thought I did - I used to work for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and they have a department called 'Fakes and Forgeries' where there is a full size copy of the David. The first time I was being shown around, I said 'oh, I didn't know that was here'! My guide laughed her head off but apparently, EVERYONE says that!

The copy is actual size and it's BIG! I once managed a press photo where we had the Museum's Director standing in front of it and it's big toe wasn't much smaller than his head. When Queen Victoria was alive, it's rumoured that his 'parts' (David's not the Director's - he was old but not THAT old!) were covered with a leaf for royal visits so as not to offend Her Majesty's sensibilities. But it may be just one of those stories... :D
