My brief run through San Francisco left me with one fantastic memory...Muir Woods. That IMPRESSED me, few places have had more impact on me...probably moreso for how it made me feel than about how it looked because I've been fortunate enough to see quite a bit...but that feeling is RARE and AWESOME. Please try to find time in your visit to experience this place.

I am just sorry that I will be missing out this time. Maybe next time. Have fun and give our bro a big hug for me and bring me back a tshirt.

I worked in SF for 9 years in the Financial District and I would take walks at lunch sometimes. Right around the corner from where Chinatown starts. Lots of little restaurants and also the tourist shops. I liked to browse them and get decorative things a lot cheaper than other stores. Embarcadero for shopping too.

I miss the Chinese food!!

Definately bring warm clothing. It is often fiercly windy and it cuts right through you.

Hi,
You will enjoy San Francisco. Be sure to visit Alcatraz,
Fisherman's Wharf. take a bus tour of the city thats a good
way to see a lot and not have to walk the mountainous
hills. Also visit the famous chocolate factory and don't forget
to ride the trolly cars. You'll love it.

Don't forget to bring a warm jacket!

We have visitors from Germany quite regularly - usually in summer. Sacramento summer is often like being in a convection oven. On the day that we take our company to the City, I grab my winter jacket and tell them to take their jackets. The answer is usually the same: It is summer in CA, we don't need a jacket. By now I figure that they all want to own a San Francisco sweat shirt. lol

The clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl along the wharf is a yummy treat.
