I was reading through the postings,

I have for years use the bath soap from Pier One Imports that has the lavendar buds in a large highly scented translucent ribbed bar.
Last year they ceased to carry it. I looked up the website for the company and they have ceased to manufacture it!

Is there a catalog from somewhere that I can procure that will have something like that in it? I guess I could make my own soap........

Tee hee! I make soap, and I have a lavender-vanilla bar that is lavender COLORED but does not have the lavender buds in them. I find that over time, the buds turn a shade of brown that is not appealing to some folks!

I *could* create a clear bar like you describe, no problem...the thing is that is melt-and-pour soap and not made-from scratch soap. The soap base that I have is a good base, but in the interest of full disclosure, just FYI'ing you!

I know exactly the soap you mean. I used it for years. Try zum soap. Around here you can get it in the natural food store (like Whole Foods or Wild Oats) or in a health food store. They even had it for a while in our big supermarket.

The buds do turn brown, but that is not a problem for me.

If you search Lavender soap on ebay, you come up with lots of options. Check it out!

My favorite Lavender soap is from a herb store that carries different items from east indian cultures. It is a Lavender/Neem oil bar. It leaves your skin feeling so soft. It doesn't have the buds, just a lot of different oils for your skin.

You can read about it from the site below. I also just unwrap and put one in my underwear drawer as a sachet.

We have a lavender farm about 30 miles from me, and I know that they do make quite a few projects. My sister knows more and I will ask her.
