Well, I got lucky with some surgery tools. My son just started his OB-GYN practice and I had read about a tool that surgeons use (can't remember name of it now). I asked him what kind of instruments he had and I ended up with about a dozen. They are great for all sorts of things! I especially like the long bent end tweezer things!! LOL

If you are ever getting stitches out, ask them what they do with the tools. I was told they throw them away, I said, throw them my way!! Got a great pair of sharp pointy scissors and a hemostat.

When we lived on a large pond, I was walking around it one day and found a pair of the long bent-end tweezers on the ground. Evidently a fisherman dropped them. I kept them and kept an eye out for anyone fishing again to see if they owned them, but never saw anyone there again. They are handy for reaching difficult to get at places. Just ask your son!!!!
