Destashing after all the building.
 

For 9 years I have been building my "stash". Now I am going through box by box and taking out yards of fabric I know I will never use. I have compiled 12 medium flat rate boxes for donations of fabrics I have left over from projects past. Which I will PIF on this board. I have decided to continue box by box until I have "only what I love". Any suggestions are welcomed. I do love to fold my fabrics.

I believe postage for medium flat rate boxes is over $12 nowadays. For 12 boxes, that would come to close to $150. Instead of mailing PIF, you might want to donate the fabric to local charities and donate the $150 to a food shelf. It would help a lot more people that way. Just a thought.....

I agree - it would cost an arm and a leg to ship all of those boxes. I recently sent a smallish flat envelope with a few fabric scraps to a lady on here from New Zealand and it cost me over $12.00.

Good for you! I can't seem to let go of much myself, although I have given alot to my Mom.

By all means don't forget to save some large pieces for backings. Would not make sense to give away, donate or sell cheaply then have to go backings. You could even make pieced backings.
