Today is our 44th anniversary and as much as I LOVE my husband, I also love it when he goes canoeing/camping :-)

I see posting all the time about DHs going away and it gives you guys an opportunity to sew more. My DH is always on the road and I am here to tell you I do a lot of sewing and make a lot of quilts. So much that when he is home, I twiddle my fingers to keep from sewing! Ha! Ha! Sometimes he looks at me and saids "Please go sew!!!"

As much as I love having my hubby around, it is enjoyable to be able to do whatever I want when he is gone even for just a few hours.

4 days! Wow, enjoy! You can eat what you want, when you want, stay up late or sleep in ... and of course sew sew sew.

congradulations...... I miss Boy Scouts and National Guard for my free weekends. He retired. dont get me wrong. I love him dearly. but the breaks were good.

I get that chance for 8 days...every deer hunting season. It is the best time, as the weather is cold so I have an excellent reason to stay inside.

Love DH around, however that sound wonderful.

My husband has a sailboat he goes to at least a month for the weekend. I love him but I also love those weekends.

I am green with envy!!

mine is going for a week in August and I took the week off work can't wait

I'm not very wifey when it comes to giving up what I want to do to suit DH everyday. When he's away there is no difference except I miss him being here.

Guess I have to wait until deer hunting season....although he will not be gone overnight, he is gone most of the days......yeah, time for me!!

DH is back from his boy's weekend. They had a great time and so did I! Now it's time to get everything ready for him to take me camping for our anniversary this weekend!
