I'm new here so this is probably a dumd question but what is DH ? I see it in a lot of on posts and wonder if it's a person or what ????

DH = dear husband or Dumb husband or D*mn husband depending on how it it used in a sentence.

And DD is dear daughter, DS is dear son.
