Did anyone know? I just learned this today!

Did anyone know that the Friday before Mother's Day is military spouse appreciation day and April is the month of the military child? I only learned this today, so next year I hope to take a role in spreading this information. It's wear purple day on Friday, May 6th, as part of military spouse appreciation day!

I hope I can make a purple quilt to honor a military spouse here in my local community!

There are so many "days" to observe and i don't fall under any of them. Ever.

Didn't know that. So many new things added to the calendar.

I am a veteran, a military spouse AND a military child: never heard of any of that.

Sometimes it's hard to keep track of all of these.

wow, there were a lot of us military kids back when I was growing up. And my folks would have laughed at the idea of military child month!

So many days to remember. I concern myself more with national military remembrance such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Armistice (November 11th) this week. If I'm missing any other than the holidays please feel free to add.

I remember several years ago taking my Mom to Barksdale Air Force Base for an appointment and when we went in the BX they gave her a rose for Military Spouse's Day. And now that you mention it, it was right before Mother's Day. But this is the first I've heard of Military Child Month.
