I move around too. My house is a tri level with my sewing room on the top floor and the washer and dryer on the bottom floor. I do laundry while I am sewing. I sew for about 45 minutes and then run downstairs and change the washer and dryer. It's three flights of stairs and a good work out.

I saw a quilting excerise one time in a mag. The lady put her cutting board on top of the fridge. She had to climb on a step stool to cut. I always keep my ironing board several feet from my sewing machines.
