Could someone please send me the directions for the scrubbers crocheted with nylon net I received one in a swap and she also sent me the directions and some net but I swear I haven't been able to duplicate her round one and I LOVE it. Maybe there's another pattern out there that would be easier for me to crochet. And, yes, I do crochet ... in fact, my most favorite is tiny thread crochet which is why I feel so stupid that I can't figure it out!!!! DUH!

My DD has made me several of these. She is 18 and taught herself to knit and crochet via You tube. I am pretty sure she found the tutorial to make the scrubbies on YouTube. We bought yardage of tulle at Walmart and I cut it into 1 inch to 1.5 inch strips. She then used the strips at yarn and crocheted them into scrubbies. I am not sure which tutorials she used, but YouTube has lots.

My neighbor made me one. It is great. Her comment was however that there are different weights of nylon net and some work better than others. I wish I could remember if she said the flimsy or stiffer was the better to use. I am away now and so can't ask her. Maybe someone else can chime in on what weight netting is best.

I was told to use the cheapest, scratchiest nylon net I could find (Walmart). Made a few (I'm not great at crocheting),
then someone showed me a square one. You sc a rectangle, fold it in half, and sc around it, adding a bit of leftover netting before closing it up to make it "puffy". It looks something like a Brillo pad.

I have made literally hundreds of scrubbies! Can't keep them on hand. I prefer the stiffer the net the better. I have had requests from all over WI even had one from Alaska. I taught a class on scrubbies at a craft fair. Found that even with easy pattern it somehow is difficult for some to understand since they work exclusively with either yarn or crochet thread. I would be happy to share my pattern with you. The most difficult part is preparing the net to use. pm me if you are interested. Sharon

I make dish scrubbers all the time. Here's my pattern. Chain 5, join to make a circle. Chain 3, then 2 DC in same stitch. 3 DC in each stitch around the circle, join. Chain 3, then 1 DC in same stitch. 2 DC in each stitch around the circle, join. Cut yarn and tuck in the tails! (Weave in the end of the yarn.) This makes a nice ruffly scrubber. If you don't want it as full, just do less DC to make it flatter.
