Me too! I changed to liquid and it is better.
|
I use the cascade packets look like big pills. Works fine for me,
|
I only wish I had that problem Ha Ha My dishwasher is what I am typing with lol never had one;)
|
i forget which brand of gelpacks i was using but kept finding about half of laying in the bottom of the dishwasher when it was finished, it was a real pretty blue, now i'm using cascade lemon, makes the whole kitchen smell like lemon pie!

Recently (within the last month?) there was a news item that said the soap manufacturers had removed some ingredients and it would leave spots and residue because of this. Something to do with the environment.
Removed phosphates. http://journalstar.com/lifestyles/ho...cc4c002e0.html |
I had that happen to me too. A repairman told me the water treatment company is adding calcium to our water which is causing it. I also switched to liquid and it is much better.
|
One thing to check is the temp of your hot water. I run water in a cup and while it's running and hot, I test with a thermometer. If it's not hot enough, the soap won't dissolve. That being said, I started using the gelpacks for the same reason. No matter what I did, I wasn't getting clean dishes....and it's probably what magpie said that's causing the problem.

Here is a possible solution, but more work for you.

Kathy,that's what i had,that's what caused all the problems.Oh washing dishes by hand,sometimes i do and sometimes i don't.
|
I find my well water and liquid soap does just fine, now.
|
Funny, under my last comment.Dishwashers and cleaners and such.
|
Because of my Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, I use Seventh Generation Free and Clear Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. I use white vinegar as a rinsing agent. My dishes look great, there is no smell in the house, my dishwasher stays clean and it is very inexpensive to use these environmentally safe products.

I just had a dishwasher installed and the guy told me that liquid dishwasher soap was clogging the lines, GE recommends Cascade gel packs, so far I've not had any problems with it.

http://www.wthr.com/story/13445740/d...cloudy-glasses We are having the same problem, so I guess I pick up dishwasher cleaner at the store today. |
we have an arobic sewer system and the mfg. recomends to use all liquid soaps, i figured once it gets wet it's all liquids, lol, maybe not
|
Have another hint for you...........I was having a problem with scum on everything. Found out that you should run dishwasher through a cycle with a product called "Dishwasher Magic"- cleaner and disinfectant. I was using the liquid at the time.
Everything came out sparkling. I do it about every 4 months or so depending on use(family size, etc...) I bought the first bottle at Walmart in the disherwasher soap area, and this last time at Lowes in one of those center aisle quick sale promotions sets.

Removed phosphates. http://journalstar.com/lifestyles/ho...cc4c002e0.html It has helped to use a little Lemishine in the dishwasher with the detergent. |
