Divorced here. Sorry can't agree with your deduction but good try.

i doubt it- i read alot about quilters---sneaking around- hiding stuff from their spouses- using $$ they need elsewhere-
no communication-no trust- so i bet they get divorced just as much as any other group when you look at the (big picture) they may actually have more divorces- since one of the biggest reasons (besides child rearing issues) for divorce is financial...and i read every day about someones out of control shopping---and the hiding/sneaking means there is n't much trust or communication-- all reasons at some point spouse may say enough is enough- and choose to get out of the relationship. i am happily married- my husband knows about every thing i purchase (except gifts for him-which he certainly finds out about when the time comes) i don't sneak anything in- or feel the need to hide it- i may not show him every piece of fabric- he's not that interested- but he knows my bills are paid before i go near any stores/on line or in person- we talk- we have no feeling we need to hide anything- or sneak anything in- if i thought he would be upset about something i wanted to buy i would talk to him before i bought it- and ask---or i would simply not---which usually gets me---well if you wanted it you should have bought it===when i say- it was so much= i didn't want to spend that much without talking to you first... he is the same way with me. quilting or not- communication and trust keeps a marriage together....quilter or not |
Married for close to 20 years. No plans to divorce. He totally supports my quilting habit and encourages me!
