ok, get your crochet hook out and lets start crocheting!

My grandmother crocheted rugs. She has been gone since 1971 and I still have 4 or 5 of hers. My mother gave me her hook which my grandfather hand carved for her. She is the one who started me on quilting. She generally had one in a frame when we would visit. She started me on a 9 patch. When I finished, she and my aunt set it together and quilted it. My grandmother hand carded the cotton to go in it.

Memories like that are priceless!

I love this idea! I'm alittle confused tho. Did they turn all the salvage edges in and sew? Maybe I just need to reread it when I have both eyes open? lol

Thanks Craftbear. I love it. I use all kinds of long scraps, not just selvages. A friend gave me one last year for in front of my washer. It was so pretty I got "hooked" so to speak. I am so ready to get to crocheting and quilting again. I love take crocheting in the car with me when DH drives. You can get a lot done in few miles. I hate idle hands. Gotta keep him busy.
