Do you have sinus or allergies?

I have a bad sinus infection right now and my darn nose keeps bleeding. How annoying

Does anyone else have problems with sinus or allergies?

Who doesn't should be the question!! LOL. It is spring in the midwest and everyone I know is sneezing or on meds.

Pollen season and allergies go together. Have you tried a NETTIE POT? My daughter, niece and several friends use theirs daily. Since using the nettie pot they have not a a sinus infection. Keep your windows closed during pollen season.

You might not be drinking enough if you keep having nosebleeds, that's how I get them. I used to get sinus infections all winter long, then I started taking Claritin every day and it's helped a lot. I've only had two sinus infections in the last four years.

We must have the same sinus infection! I finally convinced the doctor to give me a prescription for an antibiotic; feeling better already. She also suggested Mucinex-D (have to sign for it at the pharmacy); it doesn't dry your sinuses, it helps move things along to prevent infections.

As for Claritin, I swear by it! Been on it for years. Actually, the last few years, I found its generic counterpart, Loratadine, at BJs Wholesale Club for a tenth the cost (no kidding on the price!!). Between it and allergy shots, I don't do too badly but it is rough in the Spring and Fall.

I eat local honey. It builds up natural resitance to pollen. It is a 100% cure but it does help.

Me too. If I use Nasonex regularly (it's a prescription) I keep it under control.

About 27 years ago I went through the whole allergy testing and 3 times weekly shots. At the time I didn't think it helped, but it has progressively got much better. I guess I"m gradually growing antibodies.
