I had to have mine extracted but my hubbie is 65 and still has his.

I will be 73 in October and I have a four in good shape. So does DH.

I'd definitely find a new dentist for sure!

I'm 58 and I just had the last of mine extracted. All of my teeth were holding up well until I started using lipitor and then, one by one, they started to go.

I know several people who still have their wisdom teeth and I am in my mid-fifties. I nannied for a dentist and his wife and he said that if your wisdom teeth came in and you had no problems, it meant that you had a very big mouth to accomodate the teeth. People like me and others who had to have them removed due to impaction issues meant our mouths weren't big enough to make room for the extra teeth. If you husband has lived this long with no issues, leave them alone. Sometimes a young dentist sees $$$$$$ signs.

55 yrs old and believe it or not...I never got Wisdom Teeth I guess it's rare but I was lucky and never had them to worry abt...Just molers...I guess you'd call them

I only got 2. The right side. One is fine, the top one and I will part ways on 4/13. It is half in/half out and sideways. Every so often it pushes on its neighbor and I get a dull ache into my sinuses. I've known for years it was not a happy camper, I just lived with it. Now it's more frequent so it has to go. I am sooo afraid of being put out, it's a control thing where I need to know what's going on, but the idea of a tooth being pulled and being awake, not for me. But I have had cavities filled with no novocaine. :) go figure.

But it will be a day with my sister and sewing. If I can handle it.

47 and still have mine. Dad is 77 and still has his.

A dentist here in Vegas advertises all 4 wisdoms removed for $999.00.

And I find it unbelievable that no one over 70 has their wizzies (and it's too late to call my family members over 70)

So, the question - for those of you who your wisdom teeth grew in right, do you still have them or did you get them removed as a "preventive" measure?

I had 2 removed and the last 2 will never grow out. My dentist said I will be taking those into the afterlife with me....lol

I love this old saying "If it isn't broken don't fix it." The only suggestion I would make is carefully brushing and flossing, because they are so difficult to get to.... which probably leads to more cavities etc.
