We have found 2 or 3 drive times from Grand Canyon to Salt Lake City that seem drastically different. Have any of you made this trip enough to know the realistic drive time?

My daughter, son-in-law and I are leaving a week from Sunday for a looonnnggg road trip, 3200 miles in 7 days. Paige isn't feeling very confident in her estimate of travel time.

Can anyone help us out here? Thanks a million. Polly

That's 457miles a day. At an average of 50mph that's 9hrs. At 60mph that's 7.6mph. That's a lot of driving - good thing you've got three drivers.

The drive time would depend heavily on the route taken; avoiding highways, etc. Using GoogleMaps, I found a variation from 509 miles to 583 miles depending on the route chosen.
