This lady's things were sold at an auction and the guy who bought them found bunches of pics and negatives. He's sharing them on this blog. Amazing photos from the 60s and 70s.

Being an shutterbug myself I absolutely love those. I found some sewing and quilting related on the Library of congress site. To me, when I find myself with time to spare I love to browse at the old pictures. I love those captured moments. Thank you for posting! =)

Very interesting. Pictures are phenominal.
Will be seeking more info & pictures. |
These are fascinating. Thanks for sharing them. As for the clothing and hair styles, I'd say they were taken from the late 30s to the 70s. Black and white can show lots more character then color, for whatever reason. These are a picture of America "back then".
Back when women never wore pants, men always dressed up in suits when they went out in public, even though they wore hard hats or bib overalls for working. I know my own uncles did way back then. |
Tahnk you for sharing I love looking at these type of photos. Have you ever seen the photos of the appalachian photographer Shelby lee adams? they are black and whites that show depth of character like these.
I really enjoyed these photos, thanks for sharing. |
