Do You Like Puzzles

My DH and I keep the puzzle board up at all times. I got this puzzle for Christmas and we have been working on it for about 3 weeks now. It is a fun puzzle. I especially asked for it because of the Singer Sewing Machine.

Take a look. If you enjoy puzzles I think you would really like this one.

These puzzles frustrate the heck out of me, but my daughter loves them and, like you, has one up most of the time. Quilt themes might help, but now I have no place to lay one out. Enjoy the work on yours!

I do like puzzles but lately I have been using the electronic puzzle app on my Ipad.

I like doing puzzles but don't have room to keep one out. I often have to put it away before I'm done with it. My dream home has a place for me to leave one out all the time!!

I agree with Jan, I loose my cool to fast to do them. Only the ones I do with the grandkids can I finish without going crazy.Mary

I do the ones on jigidi all the time. What I like about this website is that you can pick how many pieces make up the puzzle. So for those of you that get frustrated, try some with fewer pieces. I work the ones with 60-120 pieces.

I am currently piecing a bargello quilt and it feels like I am putting together a puzzle, (which I love).

The problem at my house is that the cats love to play with the puzzle pieces. They can destroy it quicker than I can put it together.

I just finished the first puzzle, was fun...thanks for the suggestion....

I love doing puzzles, but no way would I spend $20 on one.

I am always looking for good puzzle websites. Could you let us know what site you use. They take up a lot less room than having to set up one.

Jigidi is a great site for online jigsaw puzzles. I found out about it from this board. I race through the puzzles to try to get the message, "You are the fastest person to solve this puzzle." I guess I am a little competitive.

I have a really cute antique game table that I leave an in progress puzzle on it all the time. My DH had a piece of plexiglass cut to the exact size of the table, rounded the edges and corners, and put little plastic feet on each corner. We keep the puzzle covered, have even used it as an extra dining table, and the dinner guests wanted to work on the puzzle.

We have a puzzle called "Tapestry Cat" going. So far only the corners are done. The pieces look so much alike I'm hoping it gets done!

My dearest friend in Arizona does puzzles all the time. I enjoy doing them online.

I really like that puzzle, it's very pretty. I keep some around the house to do when the power goes out. Ice storms, tornados, and straight line winds can make our power go out for days even weeks, and this gives us something to do. I also don't have room to keep out all the time. Maybe one of these days I will (if that oldest son ever decides to move out).

I found this website for great quilting themed puzzles.

I would LOVE to get some of these.

Every Christmas I purchase a big puzzle for our family to work on in the living room area. It is always a hit and everyone participates in their own time. The best thing is that before everyone leaves on January 2, it is finished and all can ooh and ahh!

One of my first jobs was substitute teaching for a special education class in Hawaii. It was a team teaching situation, and one of the teachers was out for more than half the year, so I was the replacement. The other teacher and I kept a jigsaw puzzle going in one corner and worked on it during breaks.

One of the other teachers gave us a puzzle called "Little Red Riding Hood's Hood." It was a big solid red circle, weirdly shaped pieces, very difficult. One day when the puzzle was barely started, one of our special ed students came by the table, looked at the pieces, picked one up, and casually put it in. IT FIT!!! As far as I know, he never tried to put another piece in another puzzle. Could he have done so? I have always wondered.
