Do You Own A Nuwave Oven
 

DH bought me a Nuwave oven. Do You own one? If you do, what do you like best and/or least about it? What is your favorite things to cook in it? Do you think it was a good investment?

Enjoy mine especially in summer. Have mostly cooked chicken breasts or whole chickens. Hubby uses it also for the same reasons. Has been a worthy investment.

We love the way it browns tater tots and potato cake patties...no grease!

My problem is lack of counter space to leave something like this out, plus inconvenient cabinet space to store it. I'm also thinking it's really limited in its uses.

It uses conduction, convection and infrared to cook food. The meats don't have to be thawed to cook. It is suppose to be healthier than regular cooking. It broils, roasts, grills, bakes, barbeques, steams, dehydrates and air-fries. I just got it yesterday and haven't gotten to use it yet. DH and I went out to eat tonight with DS, his girlfriend, DD and her boyfriend for DS and my birthdays.

I've had mine for several years & use it constantly. The oven in my stove went out just before Christmas & I did all my baking & holiday meals in it with great results.

I got one just before Thanksgving and used it for the turkey. I have the extender ring so the turkey would fit. I did a partially thawed 9 pound turkey breast in under three hours. Had very crisp and browned skin (my favorite part). I cooked another turkey breast after the first and had two great turkeys in less time than doing both the same time in the conventional oven. This way I was able to use the over for all the other things. Everyone said the turkey was great. I had been skeptical about the hype, but I am happy with it. I have done other things and am OK with the results. I don't have to pre-heat an oven this way.

Not sure what it was...looked it up...can you use your own pots/pans or do you have to buy special? I once had something similar (I think), but it was domed......got rid do it...way to bulky to use on a regular basis...I guess I am just from old school.....stovetop, oven for cooking.......but I will read answers with interest......

I have friends that love them esp for steaks, pork chops and chicken. I have one still in the box, a regift but space is my problem cause if I get it out I am sure it will stay out and I use my island counter as a cutting table when I quilt
