I remember that song well! It became popular during my first year in college.

Those 'good old days' really aren't gone if we can all still remember them. So let's get started - all together now....It's my party -- You don't own me...

I'm afraid to admit I remember her too! My parents still have the album so my dad made me a cassette of it so I can still listen if I want to.

Saw her last year at our local theater and was she great.
She wasn't the headliner but most came just for her. Brought back many memories.

For many years a promoter in the town I last lived in brought music performers to the local Performing Arts Center.... one of them was Leslie Gore. Three months before the concert, along with a very intense media promotion tickets went on sale. Two weeks before the scheduled concert the show was canceled because only 4 tickets had been sold and the "ticket office" had not received any calls inquiring about tickets. How sad and how embarrassing it must have been for Leslie Gore.

I guess I should have mentioned that the PAC had a seating capacity of 800.

well-she was popular back in the 60's and I guess no one listens to really good music now-I mean the kind that you can understand-has no profanity-doesn't call for killing someone. I miss that era-guess I'm getting old :?

There's another thread about dreaming you're back in high school (haven't read it yet), but the ONLY thing I'd go back for is the music...60's and 70's was the best for music. It' saddens me that the stuff merchjag mentioned will some day be "the oldies" :(
